Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SchoolOS (the "Service"), including its websites and apps, you (the "Customer") agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are signing up on behalf of a school or coaching institute, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. The Service

SchoolOS is a school and coaching management platform (admissions, attendance, grades, fees, parent portal) operated by Tanvrit Pvt. Ltd., registered office at 168 Plot No 945, Gayatri Mandir se Purab, New Ariya, Sasaram, Bihar 821115, India.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to register an operator account.
• Provide accurate institution information and keep it current.
• Keep credentials, OTPs, and refresh tokens confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• The school is the data controller for student / parent records loaded into SchoolOS; Tanvrit is the data processor for that data.
• The school is responsible for obtaining and maintaining verifiable parental consent under DPDPA Section 9 for every minor enrolled.

4. Acceptable Use

• No use for unlawful purposes or in violation of any law.
• No scraping, crawling, or automated access without our written permission.
• No reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling, except to the extent permitted by Indian law.
• No malware; no rate-limit defeats; no interference with other tenants.
• No use of student data for marketing or behavioural advertising. No transfer of student data to third parties without parental consent and a lawful basis.

5. Subscriptions, Pricing & Payments

Plans and pricing are quoted at sign-up or in your master service agreement. Payments are processed via Razorpay (India) or Stripe (international). Tanvrit does not store full card numbers; only tokenised references. GST is added on top of stated prices.

Recurring debits above ₹15,000 are processed under the RBI's e-mandate framework, including Additional Factor Authentication and a 24-hour pre-debit notification.

6. Intellectual Property & Your Content

The Service, its source code, design, and Tanvrit trade marks are owned by Tanvrit and licensed (not sold) to you. The school retains ownership of student / parent records and data uploaded. You grant Tanvrit a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display that data only as needed to operate the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tanvrit disclaims all implied warranties.

8. Limitation of Liability

Tanvrit's aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the fees you paid in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Tanvrit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms or any law.

10. Termination

You may terminate via /account/delete. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, suspected fraud, or to comply with a legal order. Statutory student records are handed back to the school on termination.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Indian law; the courts at Patna, Bihar have exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes are resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Patna.

12. Changes to these Terms

Material changes are notified to registered customers by email at least 30 days in advance.
